1. iPASOLINK QoS INTRODUCTION
iPASOLINK supports QoS control function that provide different priority to different applications, users or data flow or to guarantee a certain level of performance to a data flow. User can configure Class Classification, Ingress Policer, Egress Scheduler and Shaping.

Ingress policing: CIR, EIR (Two-Rate Three-Color Marking)
Scheduling: 4SP, SP+3DWRR, 4DWRR (default) / 8SP, SP+7DWRR, 2SP+6DWRR (option)

Egress hierarchical shaping (Port + each QoS Class)

CLASSIFICATION
iPASOLINK supports classify the traffic into eight classes with the proper Internal Priority according to the predetermined policy.
Classify policy is decided in the classification profile.
The Internal Priority is used for following purpose:
1) Identify Ingress traffic properly according to the predetermined policy.
2) Mapping the eight classes of ingress traffic to four classes or eight classes (option) when queuing the Egress traffic.
3) Copy the original internal priority to the capsulated frame to prevent the traffic priority from changing unexpectedly. (VLAN c-tag CoS/VLAN s-tag CoS)

POLICING
iPASOLINK supports Two-Rate Three-Color Maker as ingress policing.
The Two Rate Three Color Marker (trTCM) meters an IP packet stream and marks its packets either green, yellow, or red.
A packet is marked red if it exceeds the Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Exceeded Information Rate (EIR). Otherwise it is marked either yellow or green depending on whether it exceeds or doesn't exceed the Committed Information Rate (CIR).
iPASOLINK supports Two-Rate Three-Color Maker as ingress policing.
The Two Rate Three Color Marker (trTCM) meters an IP packet stream and marks its packets either green, yellow, or red.

Frames assigned color determine forwarding or discarding at the Egress queue.
EGGRESS SCHEDULING AND SHAPING
When the egress traffic is queued, the eight classes of ingress traffic is mapping to four classes queues (eight classes queue on the option).
As for egress queue, iPASOLINK supports per-class queuing with strict priority and deficit round robin mechanism at previous stage of adaptive modulation.

Each queue supports:
maximum rate shaping
weighted tail drop or WRED congestion avoidance mechanism work with colors, colored by policing in the ingress stage.
iPASOLINK supports 4SP / SP+3DWRR / 4DWRR as scheduling by default. (supports SP+7DWRR / 2SP+6DWRR on the option)

1. Open iPasolink using LCT WEB.
2. Go to Provisioning/ETH Function Setting/QoS Classification Setting/Classify Setting
3. Confirm that the setting using Current Classify Profile No.0
4. Go to Provisioning/ETH Function Setting/QoS Classification Setting/Port Setting.
5. Change Class Mode from 4 Classes QoS to be 8 Classes QoS
5. Change Class Mode from 4 Classes QoS to be 8 Classes QoS
6. Confirm Class Mode changed to be 8 Classes QoS .
7. Click ETH or MODEM port .
